November is Islamophobia Awareness Month and Purley Masjid will be hosting an insightful talk on the Causes and Cures of Islamophobia given by MEND who arrange hundreds of Islamophobia awareness events around the UK during November. The Riz Test
Inspired by Riz Ahmed’s 2017 diversity on screen speech in the House of commons and the Bechdel Test. The Riz Test seeks to quantify the extent to which films perpetuate negative stereotypes of Muslims as violent, extreme or superstitious. Based on five criteria films either pass or fail the Riz Test. Kicking Out Islamophobia – IAM Community Football Tournament, Cardiff
