About this event:

Muslim Engagement & Development (MEND) invites you to an evening with academics, teachers and journalists to ask:

  • Has a hoax letter, a media scrum, a forceful education secretary and political motivations in education regulation lead to the stigmatisation of a community, discrimination against outstanding teachers/school leaders and exam failure for a generation of children?
  • Can we ensure this doesn’t happen again?

Kevin Courtney, General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers

Dr Shamim Miah, senior lecturer and writer
