About this event:

Come along for an interactive discussion about the representation of Muslims in TV & Film.

A must-attend for those who are sick and tired of the negative portrayal of Muslim the media and in the film.

Inspired by Riz Ahmed’s 2017 diversity-on-screen speech in the House of Commons, and the Bechdel Test, the Riz Test seeks to quantify the extent to which films perpetuate negative stereotypes of Muslims as violent, extreme, or superstitious. Based on five criteria, films either fail or pass the Riz Test.
