About this event:
The Chartists was a working-class movement, which emerged in 1836. The aim of the Chartists was to gain political rights and influence for the working class. Newport brave working class uprose and fought for equal political rights. This month marks the 179th anniversary of the Chartist movement. We raise the questions whether such fight is still needed today and what have we done to challenge inequality, bigotry and Islamophobia.
Muslim Engagement and development (MEND) would like to invite you marking this event and challenging Islamophobia in Newport on Thursday 29th of November, 18:00 until 20:00 at Lysaught Institute Orb Dr, Newport NP19 0RA.
