Social Media Masterclass

MEND Birmingham working group organised a masterclass where MEND’s national media coordinator, Deryn Ellis, delivered training to local volunteers and the public.

The training concentrated on how to best utilise social media platforms for Facebook and Twitter.  Attendees learnt how to use each of these platforms  for the purposes of campaigning. 

The local volunteers used their newly learnt skills to design a social media campaign from scratch by the end of the day.  At the end of the event even those amongst the attendees who were novices were able to utilise social media tools confidently for campaigning. 

Expect some fresh, innovative campaigns coming from the people of Birmingham soon!
