Leicester Councillor Presentation

Mend Leicester working group followed up its various meetings, after Leicester Council’s historic motion on tackling Islamophobia, with a large meeting of Councillors.

The meeting was attended by approximately a third of the City’s Councillors.  Shockat Adam Patel, Mend Leicester chair, and other local volunteers discussed the extent of the problem and localised action that could be taken.

After the meeting the councillors were presented with Mend’s factsheet booklet, a treasure trove of facts on Muslims in the UK.
