MEND at HDCF’s Annual Funday

On Saturday 20th August, MEND Yorkshire was invited to host a stall at Huddersfield Community First’s Annual Funday. The event was attended by hundreds of local attendees enjoying mouth-watering food, a delicious BBQ, entertainment and other stalls selling stunning items.
A number of organisations including the local hospice, educational establishments and charities attended to raise awareness of their organisation and share information on their services. MEND also set up a stall to raise awareness of Islamophobia.
MEND interacted with many of the attendees and organisations who were impressed with the work of MEND in tackling Islamophobia within the UK. A number of local residents showed their interest in volunteering for MEND and joining the fight against Islamophobia.
