Writers’ Workshop

MEND’s Policy team have been travelling the UK delivering their new Writer’s Workshop which they brought to London on the 15th of February. The workshop aims to upskill anyone who wishes to express their opinions in writing by giving them the tools of analysis and writing structure. This workshop was attended by 15 of our community volunteers who wanted to add another dimension to their efforts in tackling Islamophobia. The medium of writing articles is a powerful way to counteract the bias and negative press about Muslims giving a platform to the average Muslim to speak up. By the end of the workshops participants had produced short articles which will be soon uploaded to the MEND website and were invited to join the MEND writers club – a group of authors for the MEND website.
