Volunteer Training: ‘The Causes and Cures of Islamophobia’

Volunteer Training: ‘The Causes and Cures of Islamophobia’

Categories: Past Event Articles

Monday August 10 2020

At the end of July our Yorkshire team organised a training session for volunteers across the country. This session was focused on our presentation ‘The Causes and Cures of Islamophobia’, which aims to educate individuals on what Islamophobia is, the causes behind it, and what we can do as individuals and collectives to tackle it.

This presentation is extremely insightful and informative as it provides a cohesive introduction to Islamophobia in the U.K., all MEND volunteers are encouraged to undertake training on this presentation so that they have the knowledge to discuss and understand this issue. Further to this, the presentation is often conducted in work places, educational institutions as well as within community centres such as mosques across the country.

If you’re interested in having MEND present The Causes and Cures of Islamophobia at your work place or institution then please enquire at [email protected].
