On Thursday 7th March, MEND hosted over 120 people at Sanam’s in Manchester as a celebration of Muslim Women for IWD whilst enjoying a complementary three course meal. Speeches were given by Malia Bouattia, Shameela Islam-Zulfiqar and Moonira Hinglotwala. The women spoke about whom had inspired them to in turn become these inspirational women. Afzhal Khan MP also introduced the event.
