Sisters’ CommuniTea Party – Tuesday 19th February

This was organised by MEND’s Outreach Ealing Working group which was open to everyone in the community.

The Tea party had a variety of stalls ranging from jewelry stall to a MEND IRU stall. The event had a turn out of 80 women from the community from different background and faiths. The event was also attended by the 3 local Councillors who all gave speeches and later also Tweeted about the event.

MEND presented an IRU presentation focusing on the importance of reporting. Many Women came to our stall telling us that they didn’t know such support exists and how grateful they are for the IRU. Many people showed interest in signing up to Volunteer for MEND, some said they will sign up online while a total of 8 people signed up on the day.
