This is the excellent Mos, who can be seen speaking to SC4 about his great work coordinating Ramadan Relief in Grangetown and across Cardiff . His project coordinated the delivery of food parcels to families in need in Newyddion.
He coordinated a group of volunteers, including MEND volunteers, who joined to help speed up the process and make it easy for everyone. The response from Muslims across the city was fantastic in regard to this project. The group built a list of people who can support those who are most at risk from the Covid-19 pandemic and others who are struggling and might need help. Along with their voluntary sector partners, they used the information to coordinate people’s pledges of support in Cardiff.
Cardiff Muslim Volunteers Group has used donations from Rabbaniah Ramadhan Relief to distribute 100 food packs to households throughout the Cardiff area. The packs will go to vulnerable and low-income families by request, personally, or from organisations.
