Palestine Independence Day – Scottish Parliament

On Wednesday 15th November, MEND was invited to take part in a gathering at the Scottish Parliament to mark Palestine Independence Day. The event, organised by the Muslim Council of Scotland and sponsored by Maggie Chapman MSP, brought together community organisations and members of the parliament.

During the event, attendees had time to share reflections on the current conflict which has led to the brutal murder of thousands of innocent civilians and widespread disruption to daily life. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions to MSPs and their staff regarding what they can do to support victims of the recent violence and to support the international calls for a ceasefire.
