Nurturing Muslim Identities workshop with Newport Central Jam’e masjid

On the 15th October, MEND delivered our transformative workshop on ‘Nurturing Muslim Identities with students and parents.

The workshop delved into what is Islamophobia, shedding light on its impact. Participants were equipped with MEND’s Easy Read Guides for parents, fostering deeper understanding and facilitating constructive conversations for home and in school. A significant focus was placed on addressing emerging challenges in schools that threaten the religious freedom of Muslim students. The workshop emerged as a powerful platform, uniting the community to actively tackle these issues, fostering resilience, and nurturing a stronger sense of Muslim identity.
