MEND Midlands began 2020 by accepting an exciting invitation to NASUWT BME Conference in Hilton Hotel, Birmingham.
On the 18th January MEND held a stall, exhibition and delivered workshops at the annual NASUWT BME Conference, hosting approximately 500 hundred teachers. Workshops covered how and why it is vital we tackle Islamophobia in schools. The audience partook in engaging in discussions on raising awareness and seeking solutions.
MEND also presented some of its free Schools’ PHSE material on Islamophobia. With positive feedback and discussions, we now look forward to a strong relationship with NASUWT community.
