As part of Islamophobia Awareness Month, MEND Kirklees held a virtual webinar inviting individuals to talk about their experience within the NHS.
MEND Talks: Muslim Experiences in the NHS focused on hearing the various experiences Muslim patients have faced whilst receiving support in the NHS.
We also heard from Dr Hassan Mahmood, a consultant psychiatrist working in Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and Dr Sufian Ali, a portfolio GP based in Glasgow, on their journey towards becoming a doctor and their experience on working within the NHS.
