Our third MENDreport Scotland on Facebook live took place on 16th June 2020 with Zara Janjua, an award winning broadcaster and journalist.
Zara Janjua has worked in print press and broadcasting for many years, as well as being a stand-up comic. Having such an array of experiences involving the media we took this opportunity quiz Zara on her various experiences.
In her interview Zara spoke about the nature of Islamophobia in the media industry and the need for better Muslim representation to overcome those challenges. Whilst answering questions from our audience members she highlighted her tops tips in order to get involved in the media industry and the importance of building relationships with the wider community.
