MEND at the Deighton Carnival 2022

On Saturday 25th June, MEND Yorkshire attended the 2022 Deighton Carnival in Huddersfield. The event was jam-packed with thousands of attendees enjoying the food, rides, sports tournaments, music and comedy acts.
A number of organisations including the local council, children’s hospice and third sector organisations attended to share information on their services. MEND Yorkshire also set up a stall to raise awareness of Islamophobia.
MEND interacted with many of the attendees and organisations who were impressed with the work of MEND in tackling Islamophobia within the UK. A number of organisations showed interest in inviting MEND to deliver workshops and trainings to their staff and service users.
MEND looks forward to attending the Carnival again next year.
