Meet, greet and educate the public about Islam, Muslims & Islamophobia (19th November).

A unique event and a first of its kind for Bristol, bringing together important organizations across Bristol to fight the rise of Islamophobia, making Bristol a better place to live for everyone. Multi agency event held in the city centre of Bristol to raise awareness about Muslims in Britain. The exhibition was set-up in the Christmas market (Broadmead) that attracted many passersby. Also, the women were given an opportunity to try on a hijab. In addition, chocolates were distributed to the public. The agencies that supported the event included the Bristol City Council, Avon & Somerset Police, Equalities Network & SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality).

The event was a high success and the BBC covered it on their site: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-50478891
