As part of IAM 202, Labour Left Association invited MEND Staff and MEND Volunteer’s to facilitate session as part of their ‘LLA Series on Islamophobia’.
The series launched on Wednesday November 11, where MEND Leicester’s volunteer Mohammed delivered a session on the causes and cures of Islamophobia. He explored with the audience how to tackle Islamophobia across the UK, whilst raising an awareness on the input of British Muslims in society. In the session he also encouraged the audience to get involved in the #IAM2020 campaign and support MEND to tackle Islamophobia.
This week, the LLA also have MENDs Joint Head of Community and Engagement, Azhar Qayum, facilitating a discussion on MEND to educate the audience on the support available for victims of Islamophobia.
