On Sunday 1st May 2022, MEND Yorkshire was invited by Ramadhan Radio Bradford to talk about Islamophobia and the work of MEND.
MEND Yorkshire regional manager had an in-depth conversation with hosts, Farakh and Zahir. The conversation began with an introduction to MEND and its objectives. The hosts acknowledged the importance of having an organisation like MEND to represent and defend the rights of the Muslim community.
The discussion was then diverted to the services MEND provides, from workshops to academic resources, the majority of which can be downloaded for free from the MEND website. The hosts then asked about Islamophobia Awareness Month and why it is important.
Finally, the discussion ended on the Islamophobia Response Unit (www.the.iru.org.uk), a registered charity providing a free and confidential advice service for those affected by Islamophobic hate crime and discrimination.
MEND would like to thank the hosts for the invitation and all the listeners for tuning in. If you would like to invite MEND to your show, then do get in touch.
