Public Health Wales invited MEND in Cardiff to deliver a presentation about Islam as well as Islamophobia training. The training was delivered as part of Public Health Wales policies of inclusion and equality and highlighted the causes of Islamophobia and how it can be tackled. The training also covered gendered Islamophobia with practical steps on how to deal with micro-aggression in the workplace and Islamophobia in public places like transport. A safe space was provided for the participants to ask any questions about Islam, misconceptions and Islamophobia. It was a great opportunity to engage and exchange knowledge and information for the trainer and the participants.
