It doesn’t always run smoothly on the night, and sometimes on the run up to a big event we can have a few glitches. But in pulling together and working as a community we can end up with something quite wonderful.
This was the case for Scotland launch, we had a few technical issues, as few advertising mix-ups and some last-minute changes to the line-up. But what we ended up with was a great event with excellent panellists and dialog all hosted by the well know and always exceptional Naeem Raza.
The discussion delved down in to the issue of islamophobia in Scotland. Addressing the issue of many still believing that there is not a real problem in Scotland when it comes to Islamophobia and hate in general. It looked at the components of Islamophobia across the board, from male on female attacks, to institutional islamophobia and the need for all in society to come together to tackle the issue of hate.
