Equality and Human Rights Exchange annual conference 2018

MEND regional manger in South Wales and West England, Sahar Al-Faifi was invited to speak at the Equality and Human Rights Exchange annual conference 2018 on the 19^th of June. The conference discussed how to tackle identity-based violence and its implications. Sahar spoke about institutional Islamophobia and discrimination against Muslims in the workplace, highlighting good and bad examples as well as proposing practical solutions and recommendations to make Wales more just, inclusive and more welcoming for all. The conference delegates were able to learn about their responsibility to tackle identity-based violence in their work and identify actions to deal with it in their services and workforces.
