The Lingfield Centre in North Leeds has developed a comprehensive project to offer help and support for the North Leeds community during these current difficult times. The project is connected to the overall programme developed for the entire city of Leeds.
A couple of our volunteers from MEND joined this project to offer help and support to designated streets in the area, where leaflets were sent to neighbours in order to inform them that assistance and support was available if they required it.
Our Working Group in Leeds has also endorsed Voluntary Action Leeds which aims to unite different community support groups, for more details on the Community Care Volunteering programme please visit: https://doinggoodleeds.org.uk/covid-19-care-volunteering.html
Aside from community support groups, Farrakh as well as others MEND volunteers in Leeds have registered for the NHS GoodSAM voluntary service, and aim to support our NHS during these strenuous times.
Through positive action our MENDees hope to support their communities in any way they can!
