Blackburn and Preston Fundraising Dinner 2022

On Tuesday, 29th of March, MEND Blackburn organised a networking and fundraising dinner for businessmen and professionals at the beautiful restaurant Roomali, The Woodlands in Blackburn. The dinner was attended by businessmen, doctors, filmmakers, solicitors, dentists, lecturers, pharmacists, politicians, and individuals from many other professional backgrounds from across the region.

The event was kicked off by welcoming the guests followed by delicious starters. After Maghrib Salah it was time for the keynote speech by Sufyan Ismail, founder of MEND.

Sufyan Ismail, founder of MEND presented MEND’s work over the years highlighting decisive moments where MEND has played key roles in changing the outcomes for Muslims throughout the U.K. Sufyan presented individual cases and national statistics to showcase the work that has been done. There was a sense of awe and appreciation from the audience.

Before dinner was served, a short fundraiser was also done in support of MEND. Our supportive guests were happy to donate generously to the cause. Ending the night with a delicious three-course meal.
