‘Being good to neighbours’ (12th November). Pupils from Andalusia Academy Bristol gave out roses/chocolates to members of the public in the Broadmead area of the Bristol City Centre. Very encouraging feedback was received including some members of the public posting on Twitter whilst others sending Thank You cards to the school.
Looking after neighbours is an integral part of being a Muslim. Abu Shurayh reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said three times, “By Allah, he does not have faith!” It was said, “Who is it, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “He whose neighbor is not safe from his harm.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5670).
