As-Salaamu Alaikum & Welcome to the South London Working Group covering Croydon, Wandsworth, Sutton, Lewisham and Lambeth.
The South London Working Group initially started off in Tooting before moving to Croydon where we have been established for nearly four months. We have a small but dedicated team of volunteers and members who bring a wealth of experiences as Islamic Scholars, Lawyers, IT Consultants/Engineers, Students and Retail Experts.
Since forming we have mainly focused on growing the team and delivering the mend Islamophobia Causes & Cures presentation in the local Mosques.
Our priorities for the next three months are as follows:
1. Recruit new volunteers to the team
2. Deliver the Islamophobia Causes & Cures presentation in the local community
3. Run the Media & Politics Masterclasses for Volunteers and Members
4. Discuss the introduction of Islamophobia teaching materials in local schools and colleges.
