Waltham Forest

Waltham Forest mend is comprised of a range of individuals – both men and women – from a range of professions. We seek to equip  our working group members  with the tools to both create awareness of Islamophobia and tackle it. We aim it to empower members of our working group to mobilise the community – both muslim and non-muslim – in adopting zero tolerance for Islamophobia.

We frequently present information on the causes and cures of Islamophobia and are willing to host media and politics workshops – free of charge – for members of the local community.

We are proud to have worked   with a range of organisations including the NUT, Stand up to racism, WF council of mosques, St Barnabas Church and several councillors.

We have hosted several events – including an invitation for members of our local community to view the positive contribution of British Muslims to society and interactive panel discussions on the Islamophobia. We have organised and hosted political hustings.

We are an evolving group which is keen to add to, and employ, skills from the community in Waltham Forest.
