The Essex Chronicle reports on an English Defence League supporter who has been cautioned by Essex Police after she bragged about pushing a bag of dog faeces through a Muslim neighbour’s letterbox on social media.
Karen Hastie, 53, was cautioned after she posted a message on Facebook stating that she had posted the “package” to deliver “someone’s karma” at 8:53pm on November 13, the night of the Paris attacks.
Ms Hastie wrote: “I have just delivered some ones Karma. Mrs Muz Rat b**** from yesterday has just had a jiffy envelope filled with dog sh*t through the b****es letter box. I wish I could be fly on the wall imagine opening a package filled with shit. HAPPY DAYS for sure.”
Some of Ms Hastie’s friends supported her actions and encouraged her to do the same a few days later.
The posts were added to other social media sites and Essex Police confirmed the posts had been passed to their hate crime team to investigate. Essex Police issued her with a caution for malicious communications on November 23.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said: “A 53-year-old woman received a caution for malicious communications following her arrest on Tuesday, November 19, relating to reports of offensive Facebook posts.”
