Dear Ofcom,

I submit a formal complaint regarding a GB News segment broadcast on 4 February 2026 (approx. 23:10 GMT). The programme asserted that Pakistani men “celebrate Eid by inviting families round to rape white girls,” presenting a grave and unqualified allegation without evidence, challenge, opposing perspective, or disclaimer.

This appears to breach multiple provisions of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code:

*Rule 2.1 (Generally Accepted Standards):* Broadcasters must apply standards that protect audiences from harmful or offensive material.
*Rule 2.3 (Harm and Offence):* Serious offence on religious grounds was created with no contextual justification.
*Rule 3.2 (Hate Speech):* Linking a major religious festival to sexual violence risks promoting hatred and intolerance.
*Rule 3.3 (Derogatory Treatment):* The segment portrayed a religious community in a collectively criminal manner without editorial balance.
*Rule 5.1 (Due Impartiality):* No alternative viewpoint or contextual analysis was provided on a matter of significant public controversy.

The absence of verification, balancing voices, or clear editorial challenge suggests a failure of compliance controls and creates a foreseeable risk of public harm.

Please investigate this broadcast and outline what steps will be taken to ensure compliance and prevent recurrence.

Yours faithfully,
[Your Name]
