Victim left with serious injuries after race hate attack in Derry

The Derry Journal reports on a police appeal for information after a race hate crime in the city left a man with serious injuries.
The assault occurred in the Rossdowney Road area of Derry on Sunday 16 April.
Constable Steele, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland, said, “It was reported that around midday on Easter Sunday a man in his 40s was assaulted by two to three males receiving injuries to his hand, head and body.
“The man received treatment for these in hospital and the incident is being treated as a race hate crime.”
