There is a brief article in the Economist this week on the rise of ‘haute’ halal – food joints catering for Britain’s growing affluent Muslim families.

After months of alarmist, scaremongering coverage on halal meat and its availability on the UK high street, it’s good to see an article appraising the economic opportunities and lucrative market potential of the halal industry.
