Many of you will know Mark Steel as an exceptionally witty writer for the Independent. Unfortunately, The Independent refused to publish his column this week because as Mark says ‘they weren’t overly keen on the issue I was writing about’. And what was that issue? |
It was about the Viva Palestina convoy of trucks, that left London on February 14th to deliver food and medicine to Gaza and the widely publicised arrests of nine people on the M65 under the anti-terror laws who were meant to have been on the convoy. All nine were later released without charge.
