Metro reported that a taxi man fought back against a racist thug who was spewing racist comments.
Footage collected by onlookers displays how Attiq Khan took matters into his own hands and began squaring up to the hooded youth.
The 29-year-old taxi driver was sitting in his taxi in Sparkhill, Birmingham, reading his newspaper when the youth started pulling door handles and kicking his car.
After five minutes of enduring the abuse, during which the youth shouted comments such as “p**i c**t” and threatened to “smash his head in”, Attiq confronted him.
The video displays members of the public attempting to break up the fight, however the man continues to verbally abuse and even spit in Khan’s face- though Khan is able to land a punch.
The taxi driver from Maidenhead, Berkshire, reported “I was terrified, and angered, I’ve never had this level of abuse before.
“After five minutes of abuse, I took matters into my own hands.
“I needed to show him that I wasn’t going to take it, and that I was the sort of guy that could strike back. He wanted a scrap, and I gave him one.
“As soon as I started on him, he backed away and wasn’t having it anymore. There were onlookers would had heard the abuse, who were supporting me.”
Despite the man’s continued attempts to verbally abuse Khan, as soon as a member of the public alerted the police the attacker and his friend fled the scene.
Khan claimed he was quite taken aback by the “unprovoked” incident which occurred around 2pm on Friday.
