ITV News, BBC News and the Evening Standard all report on the e-fit image released by police in connection with an alleged Islamophobic attack on a Muslim woman in Tottenham, north London in September.
The victim, who has not been named, was waiting to cross Tottenham High Road when she was approached by two men who stood either side of her at the crossing. One of the men referred to the woman’s headscarf before the other allegedly pulled it off.
The Metropolitan Police have issued an e-fit image of a man they think can help with inquiries into the alleged assault. The image is of a man described as being “in his late twenties or early thirties, with a shaven head, stubble and wearing a burgundy hoodie.”
Officers are treating the incident as a hate crime. Anyone with information about the attack which happened along the High Road in Tottenham on Wednesday September 28 at 7.30pm is asked to contact Haringey Police via 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
