Police appeal after victim physically assaulted in suspected racist incident

The Milford Mercury reports on a suspected racial assault of a man from the United Arab Emirates on Thursday 16 June, the evening of the Euro 2016 Wales vs England football match.

The local paper reports Dyfed-Powys police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 7.30pm in Castle Square, Haverfordwest.

The victim, a male, suffered a “significant facial injury” in the assault and required hospital treatment.

The paper reports police arrested three men from Haverfordwest following the alleged racial assault and all three have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged is asked to contact North Pembrokeshire CID at Haverfordwest Police Station by calling 101 or confidentially via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
