MEND Statement: Attack in Nice

MEND is shocked by reports of the appalling knife attack in a church in Nice that has left three people dead. Our thoughts remain with the victims and their families. We now call for calm as the details of the event continue to unfold. It is for political leaders in both France and around the world to show true leadership and avoid any divisive or provocative actions or statements at a time that requires unity, solidarity and the bringing together of different communities above all else.
