MEND Statement: Arrests of five suspects on suspicion of far-right terrorism offences in West Yorkshire

MEND is aware that counter terrorism officers are currently questioning five suspects in West Yorkshire on suspicion of far-right terrorism offences. The arrests reportedly follow the discovery of suspicious material at an address in Keighley. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit has been called upon to give specialist advice.

MEND has contacted the local police for further clarification and encourages concerned citizens to remain vigilant but to avoid speculation whilst awaiting the conclusions of the police investigation. Meanwhile, we urge anyone with information relevant to this matter to report it to the police.
