Media reports have stated that leaked extracts from the controversial Shawcross inquiry into the Prevent strategy call for a ‘crackdown’ and broadened focus on ‘Islamist’ extremism, which would inevitably further securitise British Muslims as the ‘suspect community’, despite the increasing threat of far-right terrorism around the world.
