MEND condemns the killing of Al Jazeera Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh

According to Al Jazeera she was shot “deliberately” and “in cold blood” by Israeli troops. Another reporter was also shot and wounded.

If it transpires that the IDF is indeed responsible for this atrocious act, this is yet another reason, amongst many, for the Israeli State and its armed forces to be taken to the International Criminal Court. According to Israeli human rights organisation B’Tselem, in 2021 Israeli security forces killed 313 Palestinians, including 71 minors.
