Man wanted in connection with Chelmsford mosque incident

Local papers, The Enquirer and Maldon and Burnham Standard report on the release of a CCTV image of a man sought by Essex Police in connection with an incident of criminal damage to a mosque in Chelmsford.

Police were alerted after worshippers arriving at the mosque for early morning prayers found the lock on the front door of the mosque had been damaged.

The incident is suspected to have happened at around 5am on 24 November.

Anyone with information is urged to contact PC Peter Carter, or his colleagues at Chelmsford, on 101. Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
