Man allegedly stabbed by attacker who shouted “who is a Muslim, I want to kill a Muslim”

The Sun reports on the stabbing of a man on a London train by an attacker who allegedly shouted “who is a Muslim, I want to kill a Muslim” today, Monday 12 December.

The newspaper reports on an incident at Forest Hill station in south London where a victim was reportedly stabbed by a man carrying a knife.

The paper reproduces posts by twitter users referring to the attack. Some of the messages refer to alleged comments made by the attacker about wanting to “kill a Muslim”.

Two such posts featured on the newspaper’s online site state:

 “A massacre in #Foresthill station a man shouting who is Muslim i want to kill a muslim stabs several times a Muslim passenger, no reason.”

“The attacker shouted ” Who is Muslim, I want to kill a Muslim approached the guy sitting with his wife on the 1st carriage”

The London Evening Standard reports on emergency services on the scene and a statement from British Transport Police in connection with the incident.

BTP said: “One person has been arrested on suspicion of GBH following the incident and is currently in police custody.

“One man was treated by ambulance staff at the scene and is currently en route to hospital.”
