Jewish Chronicle apologises to George Galloway

The Jewish Chronicle published an apology to George Galloway for attributing to him comments he did not make when speaking in support of Hassan Nasrallah at an anti-war rally recently.

The paper acknowledged that it had mistakenly claimed that the MP had repeated the comment, “the Jews invented the legend of the Nazi atrocities”. The paper printed the apology and corrected itself stating that ‘We accept that Mr Galloway did not refer to the atrocities during that speech and indeed has described the Holocaust as the “worst crime in history”.
