Ex-Luton Town footballer cleared of taxi driver abuse charges

The local paper, Luton on Sunday, reports that a former Luton Town footballer, Ricky Miller, has been cleared of all charges relating to the alleged assault of a taxi driver in April.
Miller was accused of verbally and physically abusing taxi driver, Mohammed Adnan, allegedly calling him a “p*** c***” and headbutting him.
Miller pleaded not guilty to the charges and told the court, “I wasn’t racist towards him [Adnan] at any point and I did not assault him in any way.”
Ricky Miller who was standing trial on charges of racially aggravated fear of provocation of violence, racially aggravated assault, and an alternative charge of assault by beating, was cleared by a jury sitting at Luton Crown Court.
