There is another letter published in the News Shopper concerning the English National Resistance’s planned protest against the NWK Muslim Association in Crayford against its ‘sexist’ mosque signs. A previous letter in the newspaper written by a local resident encouraged people to visit the mosque.
Today another local resident points to prospect of “serious civil disorder” as a result of the protest and argues that the “Reasons given for this march are a guise for the real reason, which is more sinister and not at all genuine.”
The cost of policing the protest is also raised with the reader noting the likelihood of people travelling from outside the town to participate in the protest causing the local police force to expend “a huge amount of resources to police this event.”
