Teachers Conference – Croydon College

The Croydon working group have had a strong working relationship with their local council who have been supportive of the work MEND are doing to tackle Islamophobia. As a result they invited us to have a stall at the Croydon teachers conference in Croydon College.

Teachers had gathered together to learn how to tackle sexism in schools but were equally intrigued by the MEND schools syllabus on Islamophobia. Many teachers approached the stall to take our free teaching materials and brochures.

It was heartening to see so many teachers ready to challenge the status quo and help their students do the same.
