The welcoming community of Redbridge had invited the Redbridge working group to deliver a presentation on the Causes and Cures of Islamophobia.
The congregation joined our volunteers and presenters on the top floor of Balfour Road Mosque after the night prayer was completed. The hall was packed with everyone shocked by the rise of Islamophobic hate crime in Redbridge alone.
The audience felt a relief when they were told exactly how they could help with many of them signing up to become local MEND volunteers and donating funds to the cause.
