DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to our regional mend event taking place this Friday\, at the Aagrah Midpoint in Bradford from 6.30pm. \nDo you ever wonder why there is an increase in anti-Muslim sentiments\, especially within the mainstream media? Do you feel powerless or unable to do anything to stem the tide of Islamophobia? What role does Islam play in British society? These are some of the questions that will be answered on the night. \nWe have Naz Shah MP speaking about her role in the Home Affairs Select Committee\, and issues with Prevent. We also have Shaykh Abdalhaqq Bewley talking about the role of Islam and Muslims in modern Britain. The keynote presentation will be delivered by the founder of mend\, Sufyan Ismail. To add\, we have an amazing menu of exquisite food which includes Chicken Bihari Tikka\, Balochi Lamb chops\, Chicken Afghani Curry\, Gosht Achari\, Rasmalai\, Shahi Halwa and much more. \nThis is an important event aiming to inspire\, encourage\, and motivate all of us so that we can enhance our role in public life\, and to effectively challenge the rising tide of Islamophobia.
