MEND’s masterclass will make you an expert in challenging incorrect stories and gaining apologies/corrections from major publishers. \nLobby your MP\nWe all want change for the better\, but what is the best way to achieve it? mend’s politics masterclass will give you a real flavour of the society-wide challenges facing British Muslims and how you can lobby your MP for positive change. \nPublic speaking and media skills\nWe encourage all volunteers to master our landmark ‘Islamophobia – causes and cures’ presentation. Once you’ve been assessed on your delivery of it\, you can present it publicly too. We have already presented it to over 30\,000 people. We may even put you on the media too! \nUnparalleled education programme\nMEND’s technical prowess is Alhamdolillah unparalleled in the UK. We will train you on our briefing papers\, numerous election manifestos\, masterclasses\, advanced training courses and much more. Best of all\, it’s all free! \nLocal Police Force\nMEND successfully lobbied to ensure police forces across the UK record Islamophobia as a separate category of crime (similar to racism and anti-Semitism). We now work with police forces to ensure Islamophobia is reported\, recorded and tackled properly. \nLocal Councils\nMEND works with local councils across the UK to ensure Islamophobia forms part of their hate crime strategy. \nSchools and Universities\nMEND has created bespoke Islamophobia content for schools which teachers now use across the UK as part of PSHE sessions.
